TOGETHER WE STAND!
At Green Hope Project, we value the arts, education, and our environment. This mission inevitably includes the value for human life and the freedom from police brutality. We cannot begin to understand what the Black community is experiencing, and has experienced throughout history, and we will not pretend to.
The murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and countless men, women, and children are deplorable. Having it occur at the hands of those sworn to protect and serve is abhorrent. We stand with the families of these victims and with all the families that have come before them. But this is not enough.
As we have learned through our environmental work and research, racial injustice is not limited to police brutality. This systemic inequality also extends to social, economic, and environmental issues.
Our commitment is to support you and vow to do better as an organization and as individuals. We vow to listen, to educate ourselves, and to become an active part of the solution. We stand with the Black community. We stand with our youth. We stand for justice, equality, and fairness.
We pledge to be part of the solution. We invite you, talented, beautiful, diverse, creative individuals to embrace your mediums and raise your voice through your Art, your Advocacy, your Activism, and through our collective Hope.
We don't have all the answers, yet we want to have conversations that are so incredibly needed at this time. If you have a question, let us know- together we will learn, together we will bring about the change that is so incredibly needed. Together we stand.
Stay tuned for announcements on upcoming events and to learn about Black Artists around the globe and from our own community.

In recent days and weeks, we have been watching, observing, and trying to find the words to express our sadness, outrage, and to reflect on what we can do. We would be amiss to our values and mission if we did not share our thoughts, stance, and plan of action.
ART 6ft------APART
Photography Art Exhibit
Brought to you by:
Green Hope Project & Socorro ISD Fine Arts

Green Hope Project is proud to collaborate with Socorro ISD and sponsor the Art------6ft Apart photography contest! In this showcase, you will see moving artwork from SISD students, parents, & employees, depicting how they are weathering this COVID-19 storm.

At a time when everyone feels alone and isolated, SISD & GHP want to encourage the unity that we have in this shared experience. The goal is to allow a creative outlet during these unprecedented times, while promoting inspiration and documentation through the fine arts. This exhibit will show us happy, sad, silly, and hopeful moments. Thank you for allowing us into your homes and hearts, through your art! We will get through this together.

until further notice.
EL PASO ENVIRONMENTAL
SUMMIT 2020
A CALL TO ACTION!!!

We are thrilled to have a passionate keynote speaker, Michael Reynolds, the architect of Earthship homes. There will also be opportunities for community involvement, green vendors, hands-on workshops, and a panel discussion. The summit deliberations will be on the following theme: green infrastructure. The summit will be a platform where our city can come together and address environmental challenges, discover green businesses in our area, try new eco-friendly products, and witness the creative artworks from recycled materials made by k-adult artists. In addition to all of this, we will also have prizes, food,
a recycled art runway show, and face painting! Green Hope Project is partnering with the Environmental Services Department this year to bring you the Earth Day Celebrations at San Jacinto Plaza and the Cortez building.
